Cockapoo Information
Cockapoos are a cross between a cocker spaniel and a
poodle. They are dogs with outstanding intelligence,
wonderful disposition, abounding affection, devoted
loyalty, are easily trained and give their owners a
long life of love a joy. In addition to these wonderful
qualities, they are also known for their hypoallergenic
characteristics of little or no dander, shedding
or odor.
Cockapoos have been bred since at least the 1950's
as an ideal companion pet and family dog. They are
extremely good with children. There seems to be a
myth that females are better to have as a pet for a
variety of reasons. With cockapoos, however, the
males can be even more loyal, more obedient, more
eager to please and do not choose a favorite family
member as do some females. Best of all, if neutered
before six months, the male cockapoo will not mark
his territory either.
